Tidy movable objects, clean the lens and keep the phone steady. Stand where the room's layout is understandable. Avoid extreme wide-angle distortion and keep vertical lines straight where possible.

Preserve information

Check bright windows and dark corners before leaving the room. Take another exposure if necessary. Keep the original file rather than a compressed screenshot.

Edit selectively

Lighting enhancement can help an uneven image. Upscaling increases image dimensions but is not evidence that hidden detail is accurate. Review textures and edges at full size.

A phone is a useful capture tool; it does not replace every professional photography workflow. Processing time varies, and an unsuitable result should be rejected.
